My history of working on behalf of both unions and management has given me the perspective to see both sides of a labor dispute.  Likewise, having worked as a union electrician and laborer gives me a profound respect for the jobs employees do. 

 

Labor disputes invariably involve labor contracts and facts.  I’ve learned that having the patience to fully understand the labor contract language and all the relevant facts is crucial to reaching a fair outcome.  Listening to all sides is key.

 

My strengths include strong active listening skills, analytical skills and problem-solving skills, as well as respect for all participants in the process, including employees, union representatives, managers and policy-makers.
